Emily Cummings is a Brooklyn-based actor and writer hailing from small-town California, where she discovered a love for theater by performing Chekhov and Shakespeare on the porch of a barn. That love led her to her BA in Theater and Linguistics at Pomona College, at the end of which she studied with the British American Drama Academy in the fall of 2023, where she played the title role in Ben Johnson's Volpone.

Recent roles include: Understudy for Woman 1 in Bated Breath Theater Company’s Dirty Books, Understudy for Hallie Jackson in Onomatopoeia Theater Co.’s revival of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance at the Gene Frankel Theater, CB’s Sister in Dog Sees God with brooklynONE productions, Sharon in Michael Eichler’s SIXTY NINE SEVENTY with NY Theater Festival, and Courtesan/ensemble/puppets in The Comedy of Errors with Marin Shakespeare Company.
